3 years and now we're here

    #throwback

✨23rd December 2012:
At the time when we got to know each other, I was a troubled 21 year old chasing her dreams in KL and he was a soul-searching 28 year old back here in Singapore.
We'd met a few months before via Facebook and then on this very date, love happened. 💞

It has undoubtedly been a really tough journey for us but like the saying goes, "What's meant to be will always find a way."

We got married on the 16th of August 2014; so this basically isn't our wedding anniversary but we've chosen to celebrate this day as well, which means there's gonna be twice the celebration every year hehe! 😜

Alhamdulillah, who knew we'd come this far.
3 years down the road and now we're here, waiting for the arrival of our bundle of joy.
I can't wait to see you this Friday, Inshaallah! ❤️❤️❤️

P.S: We've always been planning for me to go and visit him in Brunei on Christmas day, the 25th of December, but he'd surprised me this morning with this instead~

We're gonna have a 2nd babymoon in Miri, Sarawak! Hehehe can't wait! xoxo

Babymoon in Bali

Finally, Didi & I managed to make time for our babymoon! Ofcourse we had to go back to where it feels like home & where I found out that I was pregnant in the first place -- Bali. ^.^

I was in my 21st going to 22nd weeks while we were there & we still rode on a motorbike & walked a lot to get around for beach-hopping & shopping.
We celebrated the birthdays of our close friends, Farid & Pian, as well so yeah...It wasn't really a 'sit back & relax babymoon' as I'd expected haha! :P

Can't describe how happy & thankful I was to be reunited with my husband once again, despite us only being together for 7 days.
Baby D was definitely delighted as well cos he kept on moving & giving stronger kicks to a point that it felt like he was kicking on my bladder! Hehehe and yes, Baby D is a BOY!! ^.^
We didn't wanna reveal his gender too soon so we took our time & then decided to spill the beans while we were there cos there's been too many family & friends who were guessing & asking about it ever since the detailed scan 2 weeks ago.

Funny how we received many mixed opinions about the gender cos some were saying that it's a girl because:
1) My tummy looks pretty big.
2) I had a sudden interest in makeup, in watching makeup tutorials & always putting effort in looking good.

Then there's the other half who guessed that it's a boy because:
1) My tummy looks pretty small to them & that I didn't look like a pregnant lady from behind.
2) I have a certain glow that most mothers who're expecting a baby boy would have.

Well I guess everyone's just as excited as we are :D

This time, Didi really did pamper me a lot.
I'm really grateful for everything he has given & done for me.
He kept reminding me that he loved me, all the hugs & kisses & holding hands while walking down the beach.
I truly miss him now that we're apart once again.
Brunei & Singapore -- So near yet so far :'(

I had my first foot reflexology at my favorite 'Shinkei Spa @ Legian street' after what seemed so long cos the last time was when we were here in July/August.
Initially I thought I was banned from getting a massage for the whole of my pregnancy but apparently it only applies to mothers in their first trimester.
Well I've been having sore feet recently, especially when I woke up from bed & started walking(Urgh!)..So the few days of massage was good eventhough they're starting to feel sore all over again haha!

also had a few sun-tanning sessions cos I really needed some color as I've been looking kinda pale despite some people telling me that it's not advisable for the baby >.<
But it's all good as long as we do what we wanna do in moderation I guess, right? ;)

And how can I forget that I was invited on stage to jam with the band at 'Vi Ai Pi restobar' when we were celebrating our friends' birthdays!

Two words: BREATHLESS & PANCIT!!
The fact that I had to sing Halo by Beyonce & Hello by Adele...I swear to God I was sweating so much & I had a strong feeling that Baby D wasn't too happy about it cos I'd probably disrupted his sleep & then he started kicking a lot haha sorry my babyboy :P

Well, I honestly can't wait to visit Didi in Brunei somewhere this Christmas so that I can celebrate the New Year with him over there.
It's so much easier for me to travel around & do whatever I want now that I'm no longer working.
Just hope that all of this is for the best of our little family at the end of the day. Ameen. xoxo

20 weeks detailed scan

There you go, my little one at 20 weeks :)
I did a detailed scan earlier today & the baby is around 18cm long which is around the size of a banana...and yes I found out about it's gender but nope, I'm not gonna reveal it just yet hehe :P

Alhamdulillah..Everything about Baby D seemed fine according to both my sonographer & gynae. My cyst on the other hand has shrunken a little bit as compared to the previous scan. Let's just hope it keeps shrinking yeah *fingers crossed*

Now I can't wait for my babymoon! ^.^

Goodbye for the meantime Daddy

22nd November 2015

It's always hard to say goodbye to Didi but I guess everything happens for a reason and may this bring goodness for our family as we wait for the arrival of Baby D despite Didi being at work in Brunei most of the time.

Honestly, I can't wait to visit him next month..Hopefully for a long period of time, probably at least 3 weeks or a month or so?

So I'm back staying with my parents right now and it's not too bad after all when I think about it cos no where else feels like home more than living under one roof with your family.
Ofcourse my parents are more than happy to have me back & to take care of me while Didi is away during this 2nd trimester..Which I hope will be smooth-sailing just like the 1st trimester hehe ;)

Also, this month is my last month working so my last gig will be next Friday and then I'll just chill all the way till delivery day. Maybe write more songs and do more projects with other singers & songwriters ^.^

Last but not least, this coming Thursday the 26th of November 2015 will be the legit day for scanning the gender of Baby D. Hopefully he/she won't hide this time! Hehehe :P

Didi's first time to KKH & Cyst scan

17th November 2015

Ok I lied, it wasn't really his first time to KKH but it was definitely his first time accompanying me during this pregnancy :P

I'm in my 19th week now and he's finally back in Singapore to witness his baby moving in my tummy cos it has only been me telling him how active & lively the baby seems to be whenever I go for a scan.

This time, it was just another 'Pelvis scan' cos my gynaes wanted a follow-up on my ovarian cyst. Apparently, the cyst grew up to 8cm again from the last 7.3cm & I'll be back in the gynae's office next week. I wonder if they still want me to go for the surgery to remove the cyst...

And back to the scan, Didi was elated to see his baby moving around, kicking and changing it's positions the whole time. Sadly though, we couldn't see Baby D's gender despite the many times our sonographer tried but it's okay...There's gonna be the gender check next week & hopefully we'll be able to find out by then ^.^

16 weeks check up (4 months)

30th October 2015

Today's Baby D's 16th week and 3 days exactly....and we had the monthly check up last 2 days at KKH as per normal.

I heard his/her heartbeat for the first time!
Alhamdulillah, all praises to God.
I wanted to cry so much but I tried to keep my cool hahaha :P

Can't wait for next month's ultrasound & checkup cos we might be able to know the gender, which is one of the most exciting parts of pregnancy I guess ^.^
And also because my husband will probably be back in SG for the scan as well, I hope! *fingers crossed*

Anyway, I think I've shared about having an Ovarian Cyst in my left ovary right? Well the cyst was initially detected at 5.5cm before it grew into 8.3cm, which was when the doc insisted on having the cyst removed somewhere around my 16th week. That was also because there's a risk of the cyst having a torsion as the baby grows bigger, which is gonna hurt me a lot. Then after a recent ultrasound, they found that the cyst has shrunken to 7.3cm so the doc then decided not to proceed with the surgery cos there's also a risk of having a miscarriage. So let's hope and pray that the cyst will continue to shrink and not give me furthur complications in future :)

Last but not least, I just need to complain about certain things hehe..Well, firstly I think I've been having an irregular heartbeat or like some kinda heart palpitation thingy going on recently and it worries me a lot. Plus I've not gained a single pound from last month, which worries me as well.
Thirdly, I just had a very sharp pain somewhere on the right side of my tummy which was probably the cause of Round Ligament Pain.
Lastly, I think I'm starting to have serious morning sickness prior to my second trimester which is baaaaddd~  -____-"
Ofcourse I've googled on those issues and there's been lots of positive feedback shared so I'm kinda feeling a bit better now, still worried though hehe :P

Till next time! xoxo

P.S: Everyone thinks my bump is kinda small at 4 months cos most people don't realize it unless I'm wearing skin tight clothes...hurhurhur

Into the 2nd Trimester (13 weeks)

Yay! We're into the 2nd trimester already & it sure is fast eh? :D

Thing is, I'm currently starting to have more frequent visits to the toilet & I'm also having a bigger appetite than before. I probably have like 4 meals a day which I'm kinda worried about cos the idea of growing really big actually scares me hehe.

I've yet to announce this pregnancy to the whole world but I will soon..Although most of the people around me already knows about it, I'll only make the announcement in November when I'm about to move to Brunei at my 4th/5th month I guess? ;)

And yup, I'm still performing as per normal. Getting more & more breathless & lethargic everyday but it's okay..Another month to go before I become a Tai-tai :P

12 weeks pregnant + Downsyndrome test results

6th October 2015

Baby D is going into his/her 13 weeks now but here's an update on what happened a few days ago on the 30th of September 2015.

Since it was already 12 weeks, the Downsyndrome test was made & as of now, everything about Baby D seems to be normal. Alhamdulillah.

It was my first time watching Baby D move around & I swear he/she was really active during the scan! Baby D was kicking & waving both hands the whole time that the sonographer kinda had a hard time snapping photos of him/her cos she needed it for the test haha.
Now I honestly have a feeling that it's a boy hehehe :D

Baby D's about 5.5cm big, which the gynae says is around the full size of a Lime ^.^

Till next time, stay strong & healthy Baby D. xoxo

Wednesday, 30 September 2015

So is it a girl or a boy?

This is the most frequently asked question among my family & friends, eventhough I'll only be able to find out on my 4th month which is in November hurhur. I guess everyone's just as excited as I am hehehe :D

Anyway, my sister-in-law sent me this the other day & I thought that it's coincidentally true based on the birth of my siblings & I. It's also apparently true when tested on my husband & his siblings. This chart shows the possible gender of your baby:

With that, I was 24 at the age of conception and the month of conception was in July....So my baby is supposed to be a boy! ^.^ Hehehe let's see whether this chart proves itself true this time..and maybe you guys can try it out as well :)

Now that's me at 11 weeks...baby bump is growing~

Till next time, stay strong & healthy Baby D. xoxo

Cyst check & Baby D at 10 weeks

26th September 2015

A few days ago, I had my cyst checked. They had found it on my left ovary on the previous check up and wanted to have a follow up on it.

The cyst was 8cm in size so the sonographer said that it most likely will create problems during my pregnancy. Which means I probably have to go for surgery to remove the cyst at around 16 weeks.

I really can't wait for my next visit next week as Baby D would turn 12 weeks/3 months! ^.^

I'll be taking the downsydrome test on the 30th September and then the visit to the gynae on 1st October - the following day.

Till then, stay strong & healthy my little one <3

Blood test for Downsyndrome detection & a bit of shopping ;)

14th September 2015

Ok I just had my blood test done for the downsyndrome detection which costed me $174 in total.
The actual test date is on the 30th of September on my 12th week, at the end of this month.
The blood test surprisingly hurt though cos I can't remember when was the last time I had a blood test or injection. Haha

I'm thankful that my mama managed to accompany me here today, or else I'd be a lonely pregnant lady waiting for my turn while the rest have their husbands by their sides..boohoo! >.<

On a side note, today is officially Baby D's 10th week in mummy's tummy & I've already started buying stuff only preggers would buy -- Stretch mark cream & Belly belt from Mothercare ^.^

Mothercare stretch mark cream: $17.90

Mothercare//Fertile mind belly belt: $29.90

Well I decided to buy these cos I believe they're gonna be pretty essential as I would wanna prevent myself from having super big stretch marks on my tummy & I still wanna wear my favorite jeans/pants as well ;)

Till next time, stay strong & healthy my little one. xoxo

First visit to the gynae @ KKH

Ok so I'm a week late at updating this blog about my first visit to gynae -- It's better late than never right? :P

2nd September 2015:
Since Didi my hubby wasn't around, one of my girlfriends, Biwa & her elder sister Kak Mai, accompanied me to KK Women's & Children's hospital together with their babies in tow..So sweet of them.. ^.^

After a few hours of registering & waiting, we finally met Baby D for the first time..
Thank God, everything seemed fine according to the gynae. Didi managed to find time in between work to 'Tango' with me so he had the chance to see his baby as well. Both Biwa & Didi cried though haha!

There He/She is at 8 weeks plus. I really want a boy for my first child hehe but in all honesty, we both don't mind as long as the baby is healthy :)
EDD: 12th April 2016.

So my next appointment at KKH will be on the 30th of September for the Downsyndrome scan & then I'll have to come back the next day to vist the gynae for the 2nd time. Can't wait to see Baby D again! :D

Being a military wife - Story of my life

Alright so my husband got deployed to work at Aman Camp in Brunei for the next 1-2 years and here I am at 7 weeks pregnant, waiting for my turn to reunite with him there.
I'm scheduled to join him in November, which is in 2 month's time, and I swear it's not as easy as I thought.

2 months may seem like a short time but being preggy & all, it's a totally different ball game.
I've never felt so needy in my life before haha!
He left me on the 23rd of August and I haven't had the chance to 'Tango' with him for the past 2 nights because of work.
Unfortunately, I'm working at late hours of the night, so he'd fall asleep while waiting for me.
Sad? Yes I am :(

I miss him so much & I need him so much. Urgh!
