Didi is back again ~

Oh well, Didi surprised me & everyone else once again. Haha!
He was back here for 6 days and 5 nights this time.
I wasn't expecting him to be back but thank God he did come back cos I needed lots of help to pack up all of our belongings from our place that we wanna bring to Brunei.

Didi told me much earlier that one of his close friends was gonna help me out with the moving and packing on that particular date. So I did everything I could to get the stuffs organized before he arrived but eventually it wasn't his friend -- It was him! Lols :P

Besides that, it was his cousin's wedding that weekend so ofcourse his family was overjoyed that he could join us for both days of the wedding. #rckblyaffair

And then it turned out that Baby D has turned 28 weeks!
At the 28th week of this pregnancy, I realized that the water retention is finally getting to me.
My nose & toes have begun to swell up a little but the most prominent ones are definitely my fingers. I still have my wedding ring on but it's getting a bit too tight already.
Also, the Braxton Hicks contractions have starteddd...

After 6 days with Didi, he finally has to go back to Brunei. It's gonna be less than a month before I move there as well.
Our house will be ready by mid of February Inshaallah :)

Filming with my baby bump! :)

Yay to new opportunities!
Alhamdulillah, I managed to get a supporting role for an episode in an upcoming drama on Suria Channel called 'Kisah Tok Kadi'..And so the baby bump & I was at work during our 26th week :)

I thought the producer wasn't aware that I was pregnant when she called me up but apparently they were looking for someone pregnant to become a sibling of one of the characters.
Basically I'm Suzi, the bride-to-be's pregnant sister and they kinda have a sibling rivalry thingy going on.

Miri / Brunei Babymoon

So yeah, I went to Miri Sarawak on Christmas day during my 24th week with Baby D.
It's our 2nd babymoon and mama sent me off as usual hehe ❤️

Eventhough we didn't get to go to the destinations we wished we could because Didi only had the Christmas weekend to spare, it was all good, as long as we could spend time together. :)

Didi drove from Brunei to fetch me at Miri's airport; took him about one and a half hour's drive to get there. Words couldn't describe how happy I was to see him again, plus it was my first time riding our Bruneian car ^.^

Didi came with one of his colleagues together with his colleague's fiancee and apparently they've been to Miri a few times before.
They brought us to 'Dragon Seafood' for an early dinner and ofcourse we had a seafood feast while we witnessed the sun set from a distance cos it wasn't really by the beach.
This picture below doesn't justify the amount of good food we had cos I'd forgotten to take a picture before we dug in, so apparently what you see here is the aftermath of it. Haha! :P
RM270 for the whole thing = $90.

Sadly though, we didn't get to go out that night cos Didi had diarrhoea after dinner. We'd initially planned on watching live bands but we ended up staying in the hotel the whole night watching movies and chilling with lots of snacks which we'd bought from 7-11 :D

This is Ajang Hotel where we stayed for 3 days and 2 nights. A one year old boutique hotel which had great hospitality and was really clean.
Didi's initial plan was to get us to stay at the pretty famous Meritz Hotel but unfortunately it was fully booked due to the festive season.

Lucky for us, Didi felt much better the next day eventhough he still had a bit of a tummy ache.
We went mall-hopping and also to Miri's public park or well known as 'Taman Awam Miri'.

It was a nice place, kids would especially love it cos there's some kind of public kids' swimming pool. Ofcourse we also had to snap some touristy pictures while we were there heehee!

That evening, we continued mall-hopping and then we ended up having dinner at 'Sajian Warisan' where the ambience was really awesome. Loved the kampung vibe and tasty food. Really worth it!

After a long day, both couples ended up sleeping in that night despite planning to go and watch live bands once again :P

Before driving back to Brunei the next day, we had brunch at 'The Chicken Rice Shop' and it was really filling and delicious! I ordered a plate of steamed quarter chicken rice + a plate of honey chicken. Total yumness! 👍👍👍

About an hour driving into Brunei, we ended up taking pictures at Brunei's Billionth Oil Barrel Memorial. Tourists will be tourists hehe but not for long cos I'll be residing there probably from mid- February onwards, gonna give birth and raise the baby there for about a year and a half.

Once we arrived at Jalan Aman Camp, where I'd stayed for 10 days, we were invited to have dinner at two places.
First, we had a spread of home-cooked buffet by the Liaison Officer's wife where they'd invited all the regulars and their families for dinner.
Then we went to our friends' place, Katt & Alif, where we had a 'Shell Out' for Alif's birthday.
We're probably gonna be neighbours there too :)

While Didi had to work the next day, Katt and Alif brought me together with their kids to Tunku Beach where the boys and Alif went swimming and skimming and we women were chilling and gossiping for at least 3 hours while we were there.
I also managed to get a tan!
Plus Katt is also expecting another baby..She's 2 weeks ahead of me though  :)

One of the evenings, we had dinner at Jollybee cos I was craving for fried chicken so badly hehehe :D
Oh and just for your info, it gets dark an hour earlier, so 6pm in Brunei is kinda like 7.15pm in Singapore.

Didi brought me to Gadong Night Market once and I loved it! So much food and drinks to choose from. $1 for 4 pieces of awesome Goreng Pisang, $1 for an awesome glass of Chendol and $2 for 6 pieces of awesome Churros.
I ate so much during my trip there that I'd gained 4kgs in total - 66kgs to 70kgs! :P

On the 31st of December 2016, we celebrated New Year's together with all the army regulars based in Brunei and their families; although some had gone back to Singapore so it wasn't really full attendance.
Nevertheless, it was a great experience for me. They celebrated both Christmas and New Years that night and the theme was 'Superheroes'. I obviously didn't turn up as any kind of superhero but Didi did try to dress up like Clark Kent/Superman.

Other than good food and games, they also had 'JAC Got Talent' where they had the adult & kids categories.
Didi decided to join and ofcourse he'd asked me to sing a duet with him.
We turned out okay for first-timers and surprisingly won second place, behind the champions who performed as a full band.
Guess that was a great start to our 2016 :)

Since it was his off day the next day, Didi brought me out for jalan-jalan.
Knowing that I loved taking pictures, he brought me to places where we could snap away hehehe :D
We had lunch at 'Cheezbox', a pretty famous restaurant beside 'The Mall', where we indulged in Christmas dishes like Stuffed Turkey etc.

Last but not least we went to catch a movie as well. Think it was 'Daddy's Home' or something. Really hilarious!
In those 10 days in Brunei, we actually went to watch 3 movies in total :D

My husband also brought me to Jerudong Country Club where we spent quite some time with the horses.
I swear that particular 'Horse 906' knew that I was pregnant cos she kept looking at my bump and she even tried to bring her head closer to it. ❤️

After that, we went to Jerudong's specialist hospital called 'JPMC' where I'll probably be giving birth.
I'll have my first scheduled check-up with my gynae, Doctor Kavitha, in late February.
Honestly, the hospital looks good and proper plus the back of the hospital is facing the beach! :D

Oh and not forgetting the long dresses I'd sent for tailoring! It doesn't cost a bomb like in Singapore for sure.
I spent a total of $80 for 7 metres of fabric and tailoring as well.
So I had two made-to-measure dresses for only $80, ready in 5 days, as compared to doing one in Singapore which would cost me an average of $70 for tailoring - not inclusive of the fabrics.
Pretty good deal aye? ;)

So after 12 days with my baby daddy, it's time for me to go home. Can't wait to see him again. Guess it'll be a month before we reunite in Brunei.

I'm really thankful for my ever supportive and loving family as well. Always there when I need them.
Till the next time, we hope Baby D will grow strong and healthy. Ameen ❤️
